Argentina: Resistencia
On the west side of the Parana River lies the town of Resistencia (the biggest town and capital of the province of Chaco). It’s a much more pleasant city the Corientes on the other side of the river (previous post). Broad avenues radiate from a large central square with the main cathedral. Resistencia is known as the “city of sculptures” as there are more than 500 monuments of all shapes and sizes and dedications as well as other types of art spread all over the central part of the city. Plus great cafes and coffee shops.
