Argentina: Rosario
Rosario is the third largest city in Argentina and at the moment the most violent and unsafe. The center of the city with the National Flag Memorial and the Cathedral Basilica seemed ok however. The National Flag Memorial aka Monumento Nacional a la Bandera is the most important site in the city, set in the bank of the Parana river and offering stunning panoramas from its top observation tower. The massive memorial complex was built in 1957 and used insane quantity of Andean stone to create a somewhat brutalist architectural piece. Behind the memorial, sits a pretty Basilica Cathedral del Rosario and Plaza 25 de Mayo.
