Argentina: Los Glacieres NP – Todos Glaciers Boat Tour of the Northern Glaciers

One of the most spectacular glaciers in the Los Glaciares National Park is the Upsala Glacier flowing from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. It is one of the fastest retreating glaciers in the world, having significantly accelerated after 2008, a fact attributed to global warming. The approach to Upsala glacier by boat is through the northern branch of Lago Argentino, surrounded by lenga woods and green valleys. As you cruise toward the glacier, you see a lot of ice calving off its mouth  floating past on the lake giving a spectacular view.
