Argentina: Ushuaia
Ushuaia, the picturesque capital of Tierra del Fuego is often called the “Gore-Tex Capital of the World – because of all the Antarctic cruise passengers that congregate here, onboarding and offbording the multiple cruise companies, taking them to the Antarctic peninsula for the most part. Ushuaia is it located on steep hills rising up from the port. The waterfront offers the most panoramic views of the harbor, mountains, ships and boats. There are plenty of attractions and monuments here, including a large one dedicated to the Malvinas War (never mention Falklands in Argentina, they are Malvinas!).
