Australia: Brisbane – South Bank Riverfront

Any exploration of Brisbane should start at the south bank promenade – this is the best view of the city center with all the skyscrapers, as well as old historic buildings. Also here is the sign “Brisbane”, perfect for photo-ops, as well as the Wheel of Brisbane, a giant Ferris wheel. Also here are a series of museums – Australia’s Gallery of Modern Art, the Queensland Theatre Company, Queensland Museum, Queensland Performing Arts Centre and State Library of Queensland. And finally it’s the place where various boat tours up and down the Brisbane River begin. Two bridges connect the south bank with the city center.
