Azerbaijan: Lachin

Lachin is the town at the infamous Lachin corridor connecting the Armenian Nagorno-Karabakh with Armenia. After the Second Karabakh War the corridor is patrolled by Russian peacekeepers and parts of Lachin was partially lying the corridor. The town itself was returned to Azerbaijan in 2020 following the agreement that ended the war. Today, lots of construction happening in Lachin as Azerbaijan is rushing to rebuilt and bring back or anew ethic Azeri to the town, replacing hundreds of Armenians that have fled. New houses and infrastructure are popping everywhere.
