Belarus: Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve

Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve is a fast track of protected land in central Belarus – forest, lakes, and a lot of marshland. Large parts of the reserve are completely off limits to human interference. Wildlife is abundant but scattered and unless you are a forest ranger – it will be a major effort to spot something. Luckily, many of the animals of the reserve are displayed at the Visitor center in large enclosures – wolves, wild boars, european brown bears, European bison (you can feed this tank size animal), european deer, european lynx (these guys are mostly nocturnal), skunks, squirrels, and more. Wolves definitely stole the show, so close, just behind a fence.
