Belize: Belize Food Recap

Belizean cuisine, like the country itself, is a smorgasbord mix of dishes coming from various ethic and regional cuisines of immigrants that cause Belize home – Afro-Caribbean, Mexican, Mayan, Creole, and British. The net results not that great, as the foot is mostly heavy, greasy, fast-food style, and deep-fried. Every breakfast necessarily includes Belizean fry jacks – pieces of deep fried dough shaped like crescents or triangles. Also omnipresent are chicken and conch, the latter is a large shell with the meat served as ceviche, fritters, or even grilled. But the winner was a spectacular mahi-mahi burger!
