Belize: Tarpon Feeding on Caye Caulker
Going around the Caye Caulker to the back side away from the ocean, you can hand-feed massive tarpon fish that hang out here. Just be sure you are not gonna end up with less fingers then you came. Tarpons can grow to 4–8 ft (1.2–2.4 m) long and weigh 60–280 lb (27–127 kg). They are famous for their leaping ability – the entire body comes out of the water. Here, they are quite used to being fed and put up a spectacular edge-of-your-seat show.
