Benin: Boukoumbe Market

The first village on the Benin side of the border was Boukoumbe. It is famous for its very authentic and traditional market. While smaller then the ones we saw in Togo, the Boukoumbe market seemed more welcoming and people were friendlier. Tobacco is an important crop here and there was a lot of small tobacco sellers at the market. We also tried some freshly grilled Guinea fowl here – delicious!
