Brazil: Tabatinga

The town of Tabatinga is just a continuation of the Colombian town of Letitia – there is not proper border checkpoints, you just drive a block and you are in Brazil. Brazil offers you with cachaca, souvenirs, Brazilian rodisio grills, and more cachaca – but otherwise it’s the same as Letitia, sans for Portuguese instead of Spanish. In fact it was here in 1766 that the border post between the Portuguese and Spanish empires was established. Not much to see in Tabatinga besides an architecturally bizarre looking cathedral and a market.
