Bulgaria: Veliko Tarnovo
Veliko Tărnovo is the old historical capital of the Bulgarian Empire and a grand fortress spread over three hills with city walls attests to that. A Cathedral is located in the heart of the fortress overlooking it and the entire town from high above.
