Cambodia: Prasat Pram
Koh Ker lies about 130km north from Siem Ream, a real outlier and a former capital of the Khmer Empire in the 10th century. Prasat Pram is a complete of extremely photogenic and unusual temples – five them – in the middle of a jungle. The temples are unusual pyramid-like tower, hollow inside (with a lot of bats living near the rooftop). There are five towers here arranged in a quincunx (like 5 on a dice cub), with the central tower being the tallest. Two of the towers are smothered by tree roots that have engulfed the entire structure – an extremely photogenic and stunningly beautiful sight.
