Cambodia: Spean Preah Toeus Bridge
Spean Preah Toeus Bridge aka Bridge of the Leper King is stunning sight at sunset! The bridge dates back to the 12th century and was the largest bridge built in the Khmer Empire. The bridge is 86 m long and 16 m wide, standing 10m high over the river, it is supported by 20 pillars and has 21 opening for water underpass. It features intricate stone carvings on its sandstone blocks, with detailed depictions of deities, animals, and mythological creatures. There are four massive multi-headed snake god statues on the four corners of the bridge. Amazingly, it is still in use!
