Cameroon: Cameroonian Food Recap
Cameroon’s national dish is ndole – a porridge-like mixture of stewed ground nuts and bitter leaves and swimming in oil, eaten either alone or as accompaniment to chicken or fish. Broadly speaking – I wasn’t a big fan, and narrowly speaking – I didn’t like it at all. Other more simple dishes of fresh grilled fish or crayfish in the south were much more appetizing and delicious, especially when accompanied by great seascape views. Cameroon has a wide variety of beers – from really awesome German-influenced Mutzig to mainstream 33 Export and Castel to an awfully undrinkable K44.
