Canada/Labrador: Polar Bear at Button Island
Time for an epic post! Button Islands, an archipelago off the nothernmost tip of Labrador delivered perhaps one of the most incredible wildlife watching experience – upclose and personal polar bear watching for over an hour. A huge young polar bear was lounging on the black rocks, his fir sparkling white. Then he walked down to the water, looked around, and went for a swim, perhaps hoping to catch a seal that were abundant nearby. It was surreal! So close – I felt like petting him – the most aggressive carnivorous animal on earth! This is a big post with 75 pics – I just can decide on which ones are best!
