Canada/Nova Scotia: Five Islands Lighthouse

The Five Points Lighthouse stands at the Minas Basin, the mouth of the Bay of Fundy, and consequently the place with the world’s absolute highest tides. The beautiful wooden lighthouse was built in 1913, but had to be moved three times over years further inland as tidal erosion completely destroyed the land it was standing on. The lighthouse faces some very scenic panoramic views of the Minas Basin that includes all Five Islands as well as the Old Wife, the Brothers (also known as Two Islands), Cape Blomidon and Cape Split. This is often considered among the best scenic viewpoints in the Bay of Fundy.
