Canada/Ontario: Niagara Falls – American Falls
The views of the Niagara Falls are much better from the Canadian side as you are facing the falls. Niagara Falls actually consists of three separate falls – American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls. American are the second largest of the three and drop over a vertical ledge below the American town of the Niagara Falls. The falls are entirely located on the US side. The falls are 110 ft (34 m) high and 950 ft (290 m) wide. From the Canadian side you can stand directly opposite the falls and enjoy a superb panorama. And we got lucky with the rainbows spanning the entire falls.
