Canada/Ontario: Niagara Falls – Skylon Tower

Skylon Tower rises 160 m/ 520 ft above the ground for a panoramic observation of the Niagara Falls. There is a revolving restaurant and a viewing platform up on top. The Skylon tower is similar in appearance to CN Tower in Toronto and used the same construction methods. You take “yellow bug” elevators to ride up the tower on the outside, views toward the falls abound. At the very top, there is an open air observation platform offering birds’ eye views of the falls and the town below, spectacular and illuminated at night. A floor lower is the revolving restaurant and bar and a good place to dry Bloody Caesar cocktail, an Ontario specialty.
