Catalonia: Tarragona – Devil’s Bridge Roman Aqueduct
The Devil’s Bridge aka Les Ferreres Aqueduct is an ancient Roman aqueduct built under Emperor Augustus to supply the city of Tarraco (present day Tarragona) with water from the nearby river. It’s quite similar to the world-famous Pont du Gard in France, although this one is almost unknown and just 25 meters lower. You can have all to yourself without any tourists (unlike the zoo in France).
