Czech Republic: Litomysl Castle
Litomysl Castle is just purely amazing! Built in 1589 by Italian masters, it is a picture-perfect example of Italian arcade-style high-renaissance architecture and design. It was later slightly modified with baroque painting and frescos that now cover the entire exterior. It’s sort of surreal in its beauty as you walk around it with your neck hurting from looking up at the elaborate paintings and designs. The fairytale castle is one of the oldest UNESCO World Heritage Sights in Czech Republic.
