Dominica: Ti Kwen Sulphur Hot Springs
The tiny village of Wotten Waven sits on top of an active volcanic area and boasts several hot springs, the best and most spectacular of which is Ti Kwen. Set in the natural environment of the rainforest jungle, there are several pulls with hot sulphur-rich water, plus rustic individual baths. Very scenic. You can oak in the warm mineral-rich waters, which are believed to have healing benefits. The surrounding area is also lush and beautiful, adding to the appeal of the experience, hummingbirds swirling all around. The full name is Ti Kwen Glo Cho, which translates as “Little Hot Spring of the Rocks” in Creole.
