Egypt: Russian Ladas as taxis in Alexandria
This is where the Soviet Union sold its Lada cars – Alexandria in Egypt has thousands of yellow and black Lada (model 2105 and 2106 mostly) plowing the streets of this busy city. Interestingly, many owners/drivers have replaced the Lada grill emblem for Dodge, Peugeot, Nissan, and so on. Doubt that helps though… Oh, and the military uses Russian mini-4×4 Niva.
