Ethiopia: Ethiopian Food Recap – More Tibs

Since this was my fourth trip to Ethiopia, I decide not to experiment with variety of Ethiopian dishes (which is rather limited anyway), but stick with what’s good – tibs and coffee. Tibs are beef or lamb morsel grilled and served in a special pot that has coals burning in the bottom – fantastic, fresh, and flavorful. And coffee! No other coffee in the world comes even close to the amazing Ethiopian coffee, often hand-ground right in front of you, prepared and served with an incense burner standing on the table and an aromatic plant that is used to dip into the coffee for extra flavor. Ethiopian coffee is all highlands grown Arabica and accounts for more then 50% of Ethiopian export income!
