Ethiopia: Semera Hot Springs – Ethiopian Gazelles

Ethiopian Gazelle (aka Beira or Abyssinian Mohr) is a species of gazelle found in the Horn of Africa, it is also known as the slender-horned gazelle. Well adapted for semi-deserts, they are relatively small, with adults weighing between 20-25 kg. They have a distinct coloration, with a reddish-brown coat and white underparts. Ethiopian gazelles are considered threatened due to hunting and habitat loss, less than 10,000 remaining, so we got quite lucky to see about a dozen of them overall.
