Germany: Nature One ’16 Festival (day 1)

Nature One is one of the original few dance music festivals that started back in the 90s (together with Love Parade, Mayday, and Street Parade) – way before EDM and deejays become a worldwide phenomenon. Nature One takes place for 2 nights at a site of an old nuclear ballistic missile base in Pydna in southwestern Germany. Besides two main stages – one with today’s big name deejays (Laidback Luke, Robin Shultz, R3hab, Sander van Doorn, and more), the second dedicated to classics (Mark’Oh, Raver’s Nature, Talla 2xlc, etc) – there are 22 more stages, clubs, tents, pavilions! All with different styles – from deep house to the hardest hardcore and everything in between. Many are located in the missile silos, which makes for a dark windowless club-like atmosphere with only about 100 people or so inside, with sound and light show overwhelming all the senses. Just exploring the massive festival grounds on the first night took most of the time.
