Gotland: Faro Island & Faro Church

A visit to Gotland would be incomplete without taking a short ferry across to the neighboring Faro Island, with just one small settlement and a lot of wild nature. Faro even has its own language dialect. Several old windmills here as well as a lot of rural landscapes. There’s also the Faro Church aka Faro Kyrka, which dates to the 13th century but most of the current structure is from the 1700s. There are two painting inside depicting sealers who got stuck on the island during the storm back in those times.
