Greenland: Sydkap – Hiking
This was the longest hike of the trip – over six hours starting in early morning, a lot of uphill and boulder scrambling in rough terrain, climbing up to a high point on a rocky ridge with panoramic views of the glacier inland, the bay and the beach down below, and snow-capped mountains across the bay. A lot of unique flora, trying to flower in this inhospitable rocky soil, lots of musk ox bones and skulls, loads and loads of mushrooms, and insane sightings of the Arctic hare. This was a strenuous but super rewarding hike in the middle of nowhere at the edge of the world!
