Haiti: Exploring Northern Beaches

The northwestern part of Haiti has a gorgeous limestone cliff coastline with pockets of stunning beaches and crystal clear water protected by the reef just offshore. Cormier Beach and Labadie Beach are the most stunning but there are dozens of small beaches in between. A portion of Labadie is taken over by a big resort that is meant for cruise ships – they arrive here, get off the ship, lie at the beach and board back on. The whole area is protected by barbed wire. You get no interaction with people and see and experience nothing (if I ever step into a cruise ship – shoot me). But on your own, you can get a colorful local boat with a guide and cruise the coastline with stunning views all around.
