India: Kanha NP – Game Drives
Kanha National Park is not just about tigers – there’s plenty of other wildlife to be found here. Among them is the swamp deer aka barasingha deer which was near extinct at one time with only 17 of them left – now recovering nicely and can easily be seen (it is the only place in the world where they can be found). There are several other species of deer including sambar deer, barking deer, and the omnipresent but very photogenic spotted deer. There are also jackals, monkeys, and many wild boars. Also saw a jungle cat, but didn’t get to photograph.
