Iran: Imam Mosque in Isfahan

Imam Mosque aka Shah Mosque in Isfahan stand on the south side of the square and is one of the grandest mosques ever built in Persia. Architecture aside, it’s the seven colored tiles and calligraphy that make it an incredible site and deservingly a UNESCO masterpiece. The domes, iwans, minarets, walls, and ceilings are all covered by amazing blue tiles that are truly awe-inspiring. You can spend a whole day or two here, roaming the mosque grounds and be amazed by the colors and lights.
