Iran: Jameh Mosque in Isfahan

Jameh Mosque in Isfahan is another UNESCO World Heritage site in Isfahan, located a short walk away from the central square. It is the oldest mosque in Iran, originally built in 841 AD, and then expanded and reconstructed over years as styles and traditions changed. It has four courtyards and multiple iwans (domed areas), as well as several prayer halls.
