Ireland: Irish Food Recap

It is often said that Irish Food is boring and there is nothing to it beyond meat and potatoes. And that is actually absolutely…. true! Most menus in famous Dublin pubs all revolved around a few stewed dishes of meat or sausages with potatoes, or meat pies. Fish consumption seems very limited in Ireland (perhaps due to historic control of fishing by UK and locals surviving on farming and cattle). That being said, we did find a couple excellent seafood joints and the Irish Atlantic salmon is excellent. And then of course there’s voluminous beer and an endless amount of Irish whiskey.
