Isle of Man: Douglas – the capital of Isle of Man

Douglas is the capital is the Isle of Man with the population of about 28k people. The entire town lie along a beautiful Douglas Bay and a promenade run its entirety. Beautiful Victorian town homes face the wide promenade, horse drawn trams plow the streets, and a massive beach opens up at low tide. Just offshore is a small island with the Tower of Refuge – a small castle-like shelter built for shipwrecked sailors. Many hotels and restaurant are located among the promenade.
