Isle of Man: Town of Peel

Town of Peel is on the western side the Isle of Man. It’s a beautiful town with colorful building fronting a crescent beach and a magnificent medieval Peel Castle standing on a small peninsula jutting out to sea (castle in the next post). Fishing is the main industry here and many seafood restaurants serve freshest fish and shellfish. Also the only remaining kipper smoking factory is here as well – kipper is a whole smoked herring. When viewed from the castle – the town is like a painting during sunset with a strip of beach at low tide and all the building brightly lit!
