Jordan: Amman – Royal Automobile Museum

n Royal Automobile Museum in Amman is a part history and part auto museum showing the extensive collection of cars belonging to the Jordanian kings from Abdullah I to Hussein to current king Abdullah II. There are about 80 cars and motorcycles, starting from 1909. Most of these vehicles were used for official Jordanian royal ceremonies and business. There are a lot of very rare cars and all are in an insanely meticulous condition and a period decor surrounds every single exhibit. There is also the Popemobile used for the Pope’s visit to Jordan. Also here is a bike from the “Tron” movie. Finally, in a pavilion outside the main entrance is a Mars Rover from movie “The Martian” that was filmed in Jordan’s Martian landscape of Wadi Rum and later gifted to Jordan’s king.
