Kenya: Mount Suswa Conservancy – Mount Suswa Crater
Mount Suswa is a shield volcano and part of the Rift Valley. Unusually, it’s a double crater volcano with an outer crater, then a moat, and then an inner crater. A very rough ride up the mountain on absolutely atrocious roads takes you eventually to the rim of the crater – a spectacular panorama.
