Kuwait: Kuwait Water Towers
Besides the famous Kuwait Towers, there are also several locations with lesser known Kuwait Water Tower, simply striped white and blue towers standing like some mystical mushrooms in the desert. Apparently there are a total of five groups of water towers, totaling 31 all together. The towers were designed and built in 1970-76 and each tower holds 3,000 cubic meters of water. Interestingly, it was the sixth group of water towers that the Kuwaiti emir wanted to look more spectacular and that’s the history behind the famous Kuwait Towers.
