Kyrgyzstan: Burana Tower

Burana Tower is actually thre remnant of an ancient minaret built here in the 9th century when there was a city of Balasagun. A spiral internal staircase leads you to the top for an awesome view of the valley. Outside there are several ancient grave stones and tombs, many over a millennia old.
