Mayotte: World’s largest lagoon from air
Mayotte is surrounded by two layers of coral reef (inner and outer) creating the world’s largest lagoon. As the plane circled over the islands a couple times searching for a cloud break to open, the views were stunning. It was somewhat cloudy and foggy and the window in the plane wasn’t the cleanest – so sorry for poor picture quality.
