Mexico/Chihuahua: Creel – Valley of Frogs & Valley of Mushrooms
Also near Creep is a tin village of San Ignacio de Arareco, which is famous for two valleys of bizarre rock formations – Valle de las Ranas (Valley of the Frogs) and the Valle de los Hongos (Valley of the Mushrooms). Erosion and freezing have sculpted the rocks into various shapes, and left many harder boulders standing on pedestals. Also here is an 18th century San Ignacio Jesuit Mission, a beautiful stone church.
