Mexico/Sonara: Crater Cerro Colorado at Gran Desierto de Altar

The other spectacular crater is the Crater Cerro Colorado and as the name implies it’s red in color. Just like his neighbor, this one is almost perfectly round and huge. The red soil makes it even more stunning in the setting sun in the middle of this inhospitable desert.
