Mongolia: Ulaanbaatar – Choijin Lama Temple

Choijin Lama Temple sits right in the heart of the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, ext to the main square. The complex consists of six temples built between 1904-1908. It’s not an active temple but rather the Choijin Lama Museum, closed as a religious site in 1937 during the height of Communist repressions. The conrasts of the  Choijin Lama temple lost beneath the towering skyscrapers are quite spectacular.
