Myanmar: Sunset at Thit Sa Wasi Temple
I spotted the Thit Sa Wadi temple from the balloon ride as well – its location to the east of most other temples and a rooftop accessibility seemed like a potentially awesome spot to see the sun set over the Bagan Plain. The temple itself was phenomenal with four colorful Buddhas sitting back to back in the dark interior of the ground floor, narrow and long ancient staircases leading to the upper floor and then another set of external staircases leading even higher. The sunset was spectacular as expected with the sun’s glowing red globe sinking in between the temples spires.
