New Zealand: Rotorua – Orakei Korako Thermal Area

Orakei Korako is a highly active geothermal area and the largest geyser field in New Zealand – over 35 geysers. It presents an absolutely stunning range of geothermal features all packed into a relatively small territory – there are Rainbow and Cascade colorful terraces,  blue hot springs and pools, variety of bubbling mud pots, a soda fountain, and even the Ruatapu Cave, one of only two caves in the world known to exist in a geothermal field.
