Fox Glacier is one of the most accessible glaciers in the world – don some crampons over your boots and you can go on a guided hike up the glacier, traversing the deep crevasses, staring into the deep-blue moulins, exploring glacial ice caves, and enjoying the panoramic views up and down the glacier. You are quite likely to do it in torrential downpour, but c’est la vie.
