The real authentic Papua Mew Guinea is the Central and Western Highlands ranges in the heart of the country. Most of the population resides here on high elevation (6-9000 feet) plateaus of fertile land and cool mountain climate. It’s a spectacular scenery of green peaks and cloud forest with clouds often hanging low and filling the fertile valleys (like the large Waghi valley at the foothills of Mt Hagen.
