Rwanda: Akagera NP – Muyumbo Savanna
While the southern part of Akagera National Park is more forested and marshy, there is a relatively compact savanna area to the north of the entrance gate – perfect for a last game drive in the early morning hours and it was fantastic. We spotted a huge male rhino just within feet of the car, huge herds of buffalo, lots of giraffes, plenty of zebra, topi, and impala. Akagera was a blast, thank you Rwanda!
