Saudi Arabia: Flying over Taif & Red Sea coast
The first exposure to Saudi Arabia happened at Taif, a town on the western side of The country close to the Red Sea (my plane to Asmara in Eritrea was redirected here due to dense fog). Some scenic views of the mountainous landscape and the coastline made the diversion worthwhile (not so much for sitting at the Taif airport and watching Saudi F-16 launch on their missions to Yemen)
