Senegal: Dakar – Marche Kermel
Marche Kermel is absolutely incredible and a must see in Dakar. This is a historic market located inside a beautiful rotunda building dating back to 1860. Inside, there are concentric rows of stalls of produce, meat and seafood. The latter is totally mindblowing, given the city’s oceanfront location and fishing culture. Fish of all shapes and sizes, plus crabs and giant shrimp and lobsters, shellfish from mussels to sea urchins, and choicest cuts of tuna and barracuda. Plus friendly colorful sellers are more then happy for you to take their pics.
